What Is a Residential Lease?
A
residential lease is a written agreement that allows
a person to use or occupy a property for a certain
amount of time. Residential leases are mainly for
one to three year terms. For example, a residential lease is
signed when you rent a Houston Tx home, Houston
townhouse, condo, loft or residential high rise.
"Homes for rent" and "homes for lease" are used
interchangeably.
A
residential lease is less complex than a purchase
agreement and normally involves little more than a
standard rental agreement with an outline of the
rules and regulations of the home or building, or
expectations of the owner and tenant above and
beyond what the Residential Tenancy Act sets out.
